This year participation requirements have changed at the middle and elementary school levels. Indiana Youth Lacrosse Association (IYLA) has opted to follow US Lacrosse guidelines and change from grade based to age based participation. Age groups for the boys will be 14U, 12U, and 10U. Age groups for the girls are still being determined but we think that they will be 14U and 12U with younger players being allowed to “play up” on the 12U team.

The following chart from US lacrosse will help you determine your correct league:

If your child’s birth date falls on U9 he/she will play on the 10U team. U11 will play on 12U and U13 will play on 14U.

**8 th grade participants who fall in the U15 will be granted a waiver to participate at the 14U level.

All students of Center Grove School Corporation are eligible to participate. Elementary and middle school athletes who live outside Center Grove may participate if their school does not offer lacrosse and if Center Grove is the nearest school that offers it. If you have questions about eligibility please contact a CG board member.
